Our Trip to Maker’s Mark…Amongst Others

We finally ticked off a whiskey bucket list – selecting a private barrel at a historic distillery in Kentucky. The insightful and fun-filled trip involved exploring distilleries, engaging tastings, hearty laughs, and shared stories. This memorable experience was rounded off with the selection of tailored staves for the perfect bourbon blend and signing the chosen barrel together as a team.

Tailgates, Barrel Picks, and Merchandise

The Gamecock Bourbon Society has shared updates on various current and upcoming activities. A busy football season has seen the Society growing in members and momentum. The Society is releasing its first-ever barrel pick from South Carolina, named “Garnet Dawn”, on November 24th with a special release at Bottle’s Beverage Superstore. Other notable highlights include tailgates and merchandise sales for football and basketball games, upcoming bourbon barrels from Maker’s Mark and Broad Branch, and a tribute gift to bourbon legend Julian Van Winkle.

Blue Run and Chicken Cock Barrel Update

Gamecock Bourbon has announced the arrival of their two new barrels at retail partners, ready for shipment across South Carolina. Bottles can be collected from Green’s on Assembly and Bottles Columbia. Inquiries are welcomed via email or Twitter DM. Special offers are available for members who have reserved bottles via the company’s website until November 24th. However, prices will increase after the cut-off date of November 25th. The initiative does not generate profits but aims to spread good bourbon in South Carolina.
