Blue Run and Chicken Cock Barrel Update

Good news!!!

Both of our barrels have landed at our retail partners and are preparing to ship across South Carolina to their respective stores.  Both barrels are currently available for those that have reserved their bottles in Columbia at Green’s on Assembly (Chicken Cock), or Bottles Columbia off Devine St. (Blue Run).  You will only need to walk in to the front to ask for your bottle and your name should be on the list with the number of bottles you reserved.  If you ever have any problems, email me at PaulMiles@GamecockBourbon.com or contact us on Twitter/X DM and we will sort it out as quickly as possible.

Blue Run (Bottle’s Beverage Store):  I spoke with their upper management team and they have let me know that each Bottle’s store across South Carolina will have our barrel ready and available for purchase tomorrow November 10.  If you have reserved your bottle with us personally or through our “Bottle Pick-Up” tab on our website, you are confirmed on the list.  If you want to reserve a bottle between now and November 24, use the pull down tab on our website. Important: this bottle is the cheapest “Chosen” barrel I have seen on the market at $165 for our members.  I have seen them in SC as high as $210, so make sure to go pick your bottles up by the cut-off date 11/25/23, which is a Saturday.  When you go to purchase the bottle the following Monday, the price will increase to $185.  This is one of the most special bottles of the year for us, and we are happy to share it with you!

Chicken Cock 8 year old Single Barrel (Green’s Beverage): These bottles will be available to both the public starting Monday November 13 at Green’s on Assembly and Garners Ferry in Columbia, and the Green’s in Greenville.  The Green’s in Myrtle Beach will receive their bottles the week before Thanksgiving.  For those that have reserved their bottles, they will be available Friday November 10 at all stores except Myrtle Beach.  Important: Green’s does not own the liquor side of their wine and beer store on Piney Grove in Columbia.  Our bottles will never be available at Green’s Piney Grove.  For those that have not reserved their bottles, be sure and go to our website to reserve them through our Bottle Pick-Up tab.

As many of you already know, we don’t see any profits or money for charitable contributions off these barrel picks.  This is a complete labor of love for the Gamecocks and for more good bourbon to make its way into South Carolina.  We hope you enjoy both of these delicious barrels of whiskey with friends and family for months to come, and as always, I can’t thank you enough for your support.  Cheers!
