I personally haven’t had the chance to taste this barrel since the day we tasted it back in November, so its been close to 6 months. What I can tell you is that we had a private dinner tasting at Prime Steakhouse the night of our Driftless Glen barrel selection. Former Gamecock and MLB player, Grayson Greiner, helped us select this barrel after a round at historic Palmetto Golf Club in Aiken, SC. We were happily interrupted by the head golf Professional, Brooks Blackburn, and he helped us select the barrel. We had 3 bourbons and 3 Ryes to choose from and the one we selected was unanimous all the way around. It’s an incredibly crafted rye that drank smooth as silk for the 122 proof it carries.
